David Walston on the Cranvel Digger in the Victorian Mallee!
This week we had the pleasure of taking David Walston, a Nuffield Scholar from Cambridgeshire, UK, on some Soil Expeditions.
David is travelling around on his Nuffield Scholarship looking at ‘Improving yields and profits by improving soils’.
We thought David had the right idea and focus for a Nuffield topic, so thought we would take him out to see some broadacre agriculture in the Mid North of South Australia and the Victorian Mallee! Slightly different soils to where David is from!
It was great to have David travel with us… Many road miles were covered!! But we were well entertained and plenty of discussions where had on the direction of soil management for improved crop performance.
