Big data is going to flow through three channels:

1. Data collected on farm that flows through service providers who will value-add to the data though analysis.

2. Data collected on farm will be assessed individually by the farmers, or in groups.

3. Industry owned data will be collected, assessed, and redistributed, for the benefit of the industry as a whole.

We already have the capacity to record masses of information, now we have to work out the application for it.
