Mineral Nutrition and Plant Disease
by Lawrence E. Datnoff, Wade H. Elmer, Don M. Huber

As we all look to planning the winter cropping programme, a book reference that is worth viewing is Mineral Nutrition and Plant Disease. The book goes into all plant essential nutrients and the mechanisms for plant uptake and nutrient utilisation from the soil.
It covers the nutrient deficiencies and toxicities and how that links to plant health and disease.

It is a book that is really worth having when planning and managing any plant production system.
The book does lead into some pretty technical information, however reading the first and last couple of paragraphs will give you most of the information you need to know to see where it all fits in to your own plant production systems.
